Conversation between a 4 year old and a 2 year old

This last weekend has been mad. Crazy busy. We have been rushing around to get our master shower done so that we can move into our house this weekend. We needed tile for the corner of our shower so I ran to Park City with the two boys while Allan continued work. Here is a conversation between Alex and Donovan.
Donovan: Alex look out your windown there is a lot of snow.
Alex: No
Donovan: Alex, yes there is and it is snowing outside.
Alex said firmly with a finger pointing: No!
Donovan: Alex there is too snow outside. Mom there is snow outside and it is snowing.
Mom: Yes, Donovan.
Donovan to Alex: Alex all you know how to say is no, no, no, no.
Alex: No, no, no
Mom: Donovan we should sing a yes song not a no song.
Donovan: Yes, yes, yes, yes,
Alex: yes
Mom: We just have to teach Alex how to say yes instead of no.
After listening to several conversations like this on the way to Park City and a little bit on the way home before they fell asleep I now believe that Alex hears no too much because I or Allan say it a lot and Alex has figured that is the only word he is going to say. Mind you he can talk. He just chooses not to.

My aunt tried something instead of saying no she would say let's leave it right there, try another spot, things like that instead of no but then she had another kid and it didn't work out so well.
