Christmas 2011

Look at the before picture. Christmas morning I was up at 6 waiting patiently for my kids to wake up.  No one did, not even Aubrie.  So I started breakfast and took a shower because we had church.  Still no one stirring.  Are you kidding me wake up.  So finally at 7:30 I went up stairs and Alex moved a little bit and I took advantage and woke everyone up.
Trinity got a bike and a new helmet.  Doesn't she look wonderful.  Notice Aubrie in the back ground.  She liked the bike no wait loved it.  Would cry every time we would move her.  So funny.
 There she is again.
The boys with there China Dragon hats on.  Alex got his transformers he wanted and Donovan got football cards and some clothes.  I didn't think I went over board this year but after I saw the presents stacked up I changed my mind.
The after mess.  What a great morning and day we had.  Donovan was pouting after church that he didn't get everything he wanted.  He doesn't realize that he gets to Christmases.  I think after that comment Christmas is going to be lots different.  We need a lesson in not getting everything we want.

Donovan is home

We got Donovan home.  We decided since we were in the City we would go see the lights at temple square.  Still crazy busy but it was fun.  I like it better when there is snow.

Trinity and Donovan.  She wanted to do whatever he did the whole time he was here.
Here we are in the square towards the end of looking at lights.  It was funny I tried to get Alex to sit by me but he wouldn't. He had to sit by Donovan.  Donovan is famous at our house when he is home for about a week.  Then we fight.

While Donovan was home we celebrated Donovan's 7th birthday. Can you believe it seven years old.  Crazy!  We went over to Rod and Nancy's so that we could visit with them too.
The boys got remote control cars too cool. Donovan got a lego set that make bumble bee - alex picked that out, battleship and that is about it.
We ate at the train in Heber and we got these swords.  So cool.  They had to use belts and everything.
 Alex pose.
 Donovan pose.
Trinity pose.  Trinty had to do whatever Donovan was doing.  It was cute.  We had to make here sword out of wrapping paper roll because we only got two swords and she needed a sword to be like Donovan.  Notice the cool duct tape on them.

Christmas Tree Hunting

Super slow but better late than never.  Here we are looking for our Christmas tree and we found one.  Alex cutting down the tree.
 Trinity cutting down the tree
Aubrie and Trinity going for a ride before the tree is in the sled.
Tough man getting the tree in the sled
Look at that tree.  I want you to notice the snow.  We went about the second week in December.  The week after Christmas there was not snow here.  Crazy weather.
All I have to say is who needs a truck when you have a mini van.
The tools we used to decorate our huge live tree.  We decided to get a live tree this year because we don't know when we will be able to go in the woods and get our own live tree.
Aubrie putting on the star for the upstairs Christmas tree for the first time.  We had three Christmas trees this year.  THe real one, the fake one, and the preschool one.  Alex remembered it and it was put up.
