Cute Pictures

Allan went to Atlanta for the week so we tagged along to go swimming.  I bought float things but as you can see from Trinity's face she didn't love it.  Aubrie loved it and Alex finally got used to it that he started liking the freedom instead of just playing on the stairs.  On a side note we will be visiting Atlanta to go to many things.  Cola Cola factory, aquirium, stone mtn, and lots more.
Aubrie loves the water.  She would just lay back and giggle because she got her hair wet.  She also liked getting in the hot tub out and big pool.  It was fun.
Alex's swim suit that helped he realize that he won't sink and can have fun in the water.  Yes he cried the first time we wore it but after that he thought it was pretty cool.  He liked the boat the best but at least he is finally getting comfortable with the water.  Getting eyes wet and not crying.  Hold his breath as long as he can 7 second so far.
Aubrie found the dress up clothes.  She is Optimus prime.  She would walk around so proud and then take it off and bring it to me to put back on.  So funny because the mask is twice her size.

She settled on batman which fits a lot better.
Trinity as snow white Alex was ninja but he didn't want to take a picture.

Easter

After we went to the ocean we thought we better die eggs.  We weren't sure when we would get to it before church so it was good to do it now.  Getting ready!  Trinity waiting so patiently.
Aubrie not so sure about this.  She really just wanted to eat the egg.
Alex making sure his egg getting fully dunked.  He was so funny!  When we were all done he said why didn't we do any tape or crayons?  Well your parents were too tired.
Trinity showing off her work.  I showed them how to get their eggs in.  Put it on spoon, lower spoon in and say have a good bath.  She kept saying it and saying it.  It was cute.
Aubrie mad because she can't eat her egg.
So excited she might get it back.
 All the pretty eggs.
Very cute family Easter afternoon right before church.
No Easter clothes for me.  I love Alex's face.

Isle of Palms

Our beach trip.  It wasn't very warm so we thought we would just plan in the sand.  When I say not very warm I mean 73.  I know I know how easily I changed to the weather.  We didn't bring swimming suits but we did do extra clothes.  Well we were kicking ourselves because the water was so warm just the ocean breeze made it cold when you got out.  Aubrie loves loves the water.  Like no fear.  Here she is at a dead run to the ocean.
This is just a little pool from the tides.  I wasn't a fan of the beach because it was not sandy like loose dry sand but hard wet sand from the tides.  But as Allan said it was perfect because sand wasn't every where.  I like that so I like this beach more and more.
I let Allan take Aubrie to play in the water while I looked for sea shells well he lets her sit down which we weren't going to do.  But oh well she loved it.  I mean freezing cold shaking and still wants to play in the water.
Trinity getting wet sand to build a castle.
 Collecting more wet sand.
Just a cute picture I wanted and then I noticed the toy.  Haha
The sand castle.  Way to go guys.  Nobody on this part of the beach but we went down to the pier.  Really busy.  I was surprised.
Playing in the water.  Getting braver and braver.  I wanted to check out the pier and I had to pee but we should have stayed where we were.
Alex was already soaking wet so I said just get in.  Trinity was made because I wouldn't let her take her shirt off.  Had to be just like Alex.  They had a blast in the water but when they got out they were freezing cold.
Awesome beach houses with pools not sure on prices but I will be looking.

Hitchcock Woods

Getting out of the house.  The woods are really just that woods in the middle of the town.  They have hounds going around, horse shows and other things like quick sand if it rains to much! What?
Trinity not so happy.  Too funny somehow this walked broke our stroller.  The only one that wasn't in storage.  Crazy!
Aubrie so happy to be walking.  She is so bull legged.
We found a huge snake skin.  Did we take a picture. no.  It was huge.  That made me want to leave the woods pretty quick.  Crazy what scares you when you aren't use to the wild animals.

First week in Aiken SC

Well we made it Friday afternoon to our apartment.  The weather was not so wonderful with rain but it was warm.  So not complaining about weather.  Donovan will be here tomorrow.  Unfortutaley no beds or dressers or table or tv.  They didn't get here until Thursday so it was rough living for a while.  Anyways we get Donovan and he is running a fever.  Derrick says well that just started.  No it didn't.  You didn't get on a plane until 3pm you just didn't want to take him to the doctor.  So went to church to the wrong ward.  very nice people.  Donovan went home early and fell asleep.  11-4 do you think that poor kids is exhausted and sick.  In a new city don't know doctors or anything.  Thanks to Allan's friend at work we get in with a doctor.  Two ear infections and a cough.  Have to find pharamcy another ordeal.  And negitive nelly here can only think about what it would have been like at home.  Not really what I needed when I wasn't looking forward to this move to begin with.  Anyways that night Aubrie starts to run a fever.  Another trip to the docs.  Yep you name it an ear infection.  Alex and Trinity all have coughs and it gets so bad they have a hard time breathing.  Alex has about two bloody noses a day and we are stuck in an apartment with nothing really to do.  All plans of zoo and ocean are out due to sick kids.  Not things I want to do with sick kids.  So hoping that Wednesday will be better we go to the park - fun.  I run some errands and on my way home some old man who shouldn't be driving turns left right in front of me and ruins the passenger side front of car.  Yep I love it here.  To make matters worse at the time wasn't sure if he had insurance.  Noooooo I can't afford this.  Luckly it all worked out and I got $100 out of it and a new thing over my tire where it was all rusted. Thursday movers come, yay I might actually get some sleep now.  Friday nothing exciting happened, Alex and Trinity feeling better and Donovan too but Aubrie is still not feel good.  Saturday is conference and drove to Atlanta.  Took Donovan home Sunday and made it back in time to watch the last session of conference.  Crazy day.  So all in all not loving it.  The next week isn't any better seeing that we had to register two cars and jump through redicilous hoops to do it.  It will get better!

The Adventure begins

Last picture in front of our house.  Bye house.  You will be missed!
As Alex and I started our trek I decided to go 40 and stay away from 70.  Yes 70 would have been faster and less stressful because you stay on that road for most of the trip and go about 75 the whole time.  40 is a little more adventurous.  Also in deciding this I would be able to go to Monticello.  Who knows when I will go back.  Alex at the arch along the road.  Wilson? I think.  He wanted to go to the Park but no time.

When we go to Monticello stopped at the cemetry.  Haven't been since Gandma died.  It was nice to see that the front was carved but disappointed that the back didn't get done.  I didn't have flowers but a visit with nothing is better than not at all.  Stopped and saw Grandpa's sister and her daughter.  They didn't recognize me but remembered me.  That is how long it has been.  Sad!
Through a pass in Colorado outside of Durango the road had signs saying watch for elk only 55mph and had a zone.  I didn't know why until I look in one field and there was hundreds and hundreds of elk.  I thought it was a farm but no just wild elk.  Crazy!  This is the second time we say these elk.
Made it to New Mexico the first night.   Not a great picture but Alex was a trooper the first day.  No pool so I owe him big time.
As I was getting lost in New Mexico and turning around for the second time I saw this and said we had to stop to take a picture.  Alex didn't want to get out but wow amazing!  Can't put into words how this makes you feel as you pass it on the road.  Look what so many heros have given to us so that we may be free.  Thank you is not enough but thank you.
As we treked the first day through the rest of New Mexico, Texas, and into Oklahoma we saw many crosses and different churches.  Big cross in Texas that you can see for miles.  I wondered if it was lite at night.  Now being in Aiken Alex just keeps saying there is a lot of churches huh mom.  Yes a lot of the same one with just a little difference to the name.  No many LDS chruches - one.
Made it to Oklahome the second night.  Off and on rain and by the time we got to our desitination it was early but I had enough of driving in rain that went side ways because the wind was so strong.  Don't love driving in the rain.  Hit the road pretty early to stay ahead of stroms.  I don't love driving in the rain when I am not sure of where I am going.
Made it to Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama the third day.   Thank you for the presents Jenny and Chana or we would not have made it through day 2 or 3 without them  We tried to get pictures of the other states but just a short time in Tennessee and so welcome center in Memphis for the short time in the state.  Missippii failed too.  I thought for sure that Alabama would but no such luck.
Day four was rainy no matter how early or late we left.  Still on Centeral time so we did get a good start.  Stayed in Birmingham and lucky was going East because the West traffic was backed up for 7 miles and not moving.  Huge accident.  And right by the accident they were burning huge slash piles for a clear cut.  I mean huge in flame and huge piles and it was raining very hard.  So we made it to Georgia in the rain.
I told Alex make sure you get me in the picture with the sign.  Well he got me and the sign just not the parts I wanted.
Finally made it to South Carolina.  Alex wondered why we were still going after we made it in SC.  30 more minutes and we will be at the apartment.  We made it!!!!

Side note:  We made it Friday and Donovan was coming Saturday.  So we got the van unpacked.  We don't have beds or dressers so we have to live out of suit cases and sleeping on mats on the floor.  Not ideal but it will do.  Donovan gets off airplane with a fever.  Thanks Derrick I really needed a sick kid at this time.  Sunday somehow find clothes to go to church.  Probably I wouldn't have gone but the week after was conference so I just wanted to go so people knew I was here.  Well it didn't matter I went to the wrong ward.  Get back and Donovan is asleep.  He went home early from Chruch not feeling good.  He slept from 11-4.  Can you say tired?  So we take him to the dr Monday - thanks to Allan's friend.  Jump through hoops to get medicine because we haven't got prescriptions in SC.  I think okay all is well.  Not Aubrie runs a fever all night back to the drs.  Okay I want to go home.  I have been here for 4 days and at drs 2 times.  Day 5 - things a little rough at the apartment and before I explode I leave to take a break.  On my way home some old man who shouldn't be driving turns left right in front of me.  Yep left side of car all dented and my cell phone is dead so no way of calling anyone.  Luckily for me and old man and women let me use their phone and even stay by for a witness.  Yes wondering why is this happening what am I suppose to learn.  Still not sure what I am suppose to learn a week later.  So find someone to fix my car after jumping through hoops with the insurance.  The old man didn't have any idea what was going on or able to talk to.  So went and go it fixed the man who fixed it with Carolina Collision fixed my other side where it was all rusted too.  Great guy thank you thank you.  Now I have a working van!

Trinity dancing

I told Trinity to go get socks so we can go to dance.  She is upstairs crying saying she can't do it.  I tell her to come downstairs and I will help her.  This is what she looks like.  I said socks not two shirts no wonder you can't do it.
Good thing Grandma was visiting and made us all laugh instead of getting mad over something funny.
 Last dance practice.  Stretching!
 Warming up!
Her pose for me.  I laughed.  All of her dancing for me and this is the pose she gives me.

Getting ready for a big jump!!!
She loved going to dance and showing off her dance to everyone.  I wish I had a video to download but I don't or not techniquely smart enough or no desire to figure it out.  So this is what we get!!!
