New Puppy

Siding and Mudding

The recent date of finishing our house could be the end of Febuary. Tommy said that he told the Cabinet guy to come the last week in Febuary to put in cabinets and that is the last thing we do. So there is an end in sight. Now all I am hoping for is that interest rates will stay low so that we can lock ina better interest rate. Here is part of our house sided. It is almost done just need to finish the front.

The drywallers are up there mudding right now, with now water. Hopefully, and I say hopefully because they should have done it long ago, that Hanna (the town) is hooking our water up.
Here is looking from our front enterance into the office.

Upstairs, there will be a railing.

The things Alex Can do

My baby is getting too big. Alex is growing up too fast and it amazes me the things that he catches onto that we didn't have to teach him. I think this is attributed to his big brother Donovan. Alex can jump off the ground, say several words: no, yeah, ah oh, shoe, no way, daddy, mommy. Maybe more but I can't remember. He knows many animals sounds and actions: neigh, moo, snake, alligator, elephant, dog, and monkey. It is so much fun to watch him grow. I love this age, especially when I can give him directions and most of the time he follows them, we can read stories together, and we can talk with lots of words being repeated.

Windows and floors

They were busy at the house this week. Putting windows in which look great. Not all of them are in because they needed to bring drywall in the house. Then we were super busy picking out tile. What a job that is? Not only did we have to think of the floors but also a pattern for the shower. Well it's all pick out and picked up except for pencil line and the grout color. We were also able to pick up our hardwood floors. Can I tell you how much wood that is? We are going to be busy. But we will like it in the end hopefully. Allan ordered the wrong color but maybe I will like it and then today I found the tile that I really liked but too late so hopefully it will all work out. If things go according to plan with the house meaning insulators come on Tuesday and Drywallers on Friday we will be putting in floors on Saturday. Now the only hold up will be water hooked up to our house.

Where's Blanky

The other weekend I got laundry done for the week. Which is amazing because usually I am doing laundry all week or at least into the middle of the week. Every once in a while Alex will help put clothes in the washer and of course his blankets. I just got Alex's blanket out of the dryer and gave it to him because he was crying and then I went around the house getting the garabage. I went in the bathroom and got the garabage and he followed. He stayed in there while I went outside. I came back in and was getting ready to put him to bed but I couldn't find his blanket. In five minutes his blanket was missing. So I looked everywhere we went and couldn't find it. Then I remembered the bathroom. I looked in the tub. No blanket. I thought to myself he would not put it in the toliet? I look in the toliet and look what I find.

Needless to say I still had laundry to do and now Alex thinks everything belongs in the toliet. I told my mom the story and she things he was just doing laundry.

The Weather Outside

I can't believe the weather. It is so warm for January. It is crazy. My mom has so much snow she struggles to get in and out of her driveway. It is so crazy. We have spent the last couple of weekends out in Salt Lake picking out floor. Hopefully this weekend we can start. IF you have any ideas for a shower tile pattern shot them my way because we can't find anything that we can agree on or we do but it isn't proclain. Well anyways that is about it.

Sleding

It finally snowed here is Duchesne. It snowed all Christmas which I was worried because Donovan and I had to fly out in two days but no worries as Allan mentioned before. The boys loved the snow. Allan took them for a fourwheel ride and then Donovan dragged Alex all over the yard. They had a great time.

Christmas

I was dying Christmas morning. I was awake at 5:30am waiting for someone just to stir, move and inch so that we could open christmas presents. Alex slept throught the night so I was putting all my hopes in him for waking up. Dashed. Nobody moved a muscle until 8:30am besides me and I can't be the one to wake everyone up. So as soon as Donovan moved I said Santa came do you want to go see. Donovan stretching has a big grin on his face says I have to pee first. But once he saw his stocking he was so cute. Christmas just gets better when you have kids. In a very excited voice and jumping up and down, "Mom, Santa left me the biggest stocking ever!"

Donovan tore through is presents getting lots of socks, books, legos, from Santa and his favorite his Guitar. Thanks to his cousin. It is away cool guitar. Alex on the other hand didn't really care about present after unwrapping the first one. He just like playing with his hammer toy. Donovan got to open the rest of his presents and the tool set was the one that they both had to fight over. Allan got a saw to cut our wood floor when we start putting that in and I got a roasting pan.

Christmas dinner was easy. I was kind of worried about it because it would be my first dinner cooking by myself but it was a breeze. Allan made the grave and potatoes. I made the stuffing, yams, and vegetables. We had a honey backed ham for our meat and it was so good. Easy too. No heating or cooking just let it be room temperature. Alex didn't make it too dinner because he was too tired but we enjoyed dinner again that night.

Overall, Christmas was great and we are sorry when missed the family for Chirstmas but we were able to see most of you during the holidays for Thanksgiving or our practice Christmas.

Vacations

Just trying to catch up. It is so hard to get back into things when we have been doing nothing for the last five days. Don't get me wrong ith as been nice. Sleeping in until 10:00. Yes, Alex is spoiling us he will sleep that long too. Staying up until 12 or 1 in the morning. Doing nothing all day but reading the Lightening Thief. Which by the way is a great serious. It is about greek gods and yes I got Allan hooked also. But this is all coming to and end tomorrow. Must go back to work for both of us. Must start waking up at 6:45am maybe even start to exercise. Start doing chores around the house and paying bills again. Sad day. Vacations are so nice but always too short.
