Football

Donovan has three football games left.  So finally looking at the calendar Allan and I said we should go to this game.  He has training in FL October 1-5 so the next two weekends wouldn't work for him.  So we decided to go.  Friday I am getting everyone ready and Allan calls saying he can't go due to a project that has to get done.  Off to Ohio by myself.  12 hours later we got to Donovan's house.  Played with his toys, went swimming, rode four wheeler, and played legos.  It was so good to see Donovan.  Sunday we went to his game.  It was very cold in Ohio.  Okay not that cold but when you are use to 80's and low of 70's it was cold.  I forgot to bring jackets and pants so Derrick let us borrow some of Donovan's clothes.  Here is Donovan as a captain going out for the coin toss.
Run Donovan Run!  He had amazing runs.  He ran for 60 yards and almost got a touch down the second play in the game.  He scored 2 touch downs but they took one away but I count it as 2.
He got to be the quarterback.  He completed all his passes.  I was very impressed.  Grandpa Janney made the comment that Donovan played all the positions.  Pretty cool!
I really like this picture of Donovan.  His fingers got stepped on towards the end of the game.  Lucky Donovan wore the undershirt that he did because I would not have been able to spot him other wise.
The super start with his brother and sisters.  The kids did great for the football game.  I tried to sit in the stands for a while but then realized that they could play on the track and I wouldn't have to fight Aubrie to sit down so she wouldn't fall off the bleachers.  So glad we go to go watch him play.  The ride home was good.  Aubrie had had enought but who could blame the poor girl 24 hours in a car in 4 days stinks.  Love you Donovan.

Projects

I love this.  After we left the Utah house I was sad because we had to leave the height chart we had.  So when I saw this on pinterest I was in love.  One we could mark the heights and when we move take it along with us.  Yay!  I have seen some use vinyl but we just use perement markers and printer numbers out on the computer, traced them on, and colored the in.  Allan did all of the work I just am an admirer.  $10 dollars was the cost for the wood, we already had the stain and markers.  Fun easy project.
As I said earlier I love pinterest.  Found this on it and had to do it.  I just don't see anyone doing silouettes (spelling) anymore that they cute and do in black.  So here was a way to do it.  The pictures were the hardest part.  Due to the fact we weren't sure what we were doing.  But I am sure if someone knew photoshop or paintnet which we used better they could do it with no problem.  The directions say to cut out printed pictures and then trace on contact paper and cut it out again.  Well I didn't have contact paper so I just cut out black pictures and then used the trick to make cricuit pads sticky again.  Painted and peeled off.  Turned out great.  Love pinterest.
This picture you can see the color difference.
Allan has been busy in the garage.  I think he likes it though.  He built new shelves in the pantry for me.  They had the white metal or plastic ones which I was afraid to put any weight on because someone told us not to much or they will brake.  So they went and wood ones to replace them.  They look nice no picture.  Then we still had a ton of food to store so we used the closet under the stairs for food and other things.  Well after taking out all the food mostly filled it with food.  Just the back shelves have room.  I had to laugh at my food storage I have.  One row of peaches, one row of spagettic sauce.  Very little green beans, apple sauce, and beets.  Yep need a little variety.  But love the storage.  Southern homes don't have a lot of storage in the houses.  We got lucky and have more than most but I still want more.  They do have attics but due to humidty I am afraid to put too much stuff that can get ru.ined from the moisture

Painting

I love our new house but the color is wearing on me.  So we have been painting.  This is the girls room.  Allan was just nice to paint the top for me so that I wouldn't have to go up and down the ladder.  Thanks dear.  I finally figured out how he will let me paint by myself with out him coming to take over.  Use lots of tape.  I mean lets face it I am a mess in whatever I do but if I tape where I don't want paint my chances increase of no mess and if I use only sheets to cover the floor my mess making ability is getting smaller.  I will admit I still got paint on the floor and the ceiling but I did good considering.

The purple all aroudn.  I was thinking this was too bright but I really like the purple.
Now for the pink.  So bright.  Not sure I like it but Allan says that it looks good so I will keep it for a while.  Trinity loves it but I am still unsure.  The stripe is still not done in these pictures.

The painting is complete.  What do you think.  The lines turned out great.  Just the corners had a little drip but nothing you can tell from afar.  Some of the pictures hung and the furniture moved in.

Allan is going to build shelves to put on the walls.  Can't wait to show you.
So the biggest undertaking was painting our entry way.  This was tricky because we had to reach the ceiling.  It had to be painted though.  The paint on the walls before would not clean.  They used such a flat paint that it would just smear and stay dirty.  That doesn't work in my house.  Especially having a 1 year old drag her hands up and down the wall of the stairs.  So we painted.  The paint is lighter than the walls but in pictures you can't tell a difference.  If you are looking for a paint color that is neutral but not while I love this one.  Oatbran for lowes.  The pictures on the wall are a work in progress.  I have more frames to buy and a family picture to take but I like it so far.  We might have to mix things up because too much big pictures together and too many little pictures.  Any suggestions.
The big decision was painting the living room.  I have wanted to paint a room yellow but kind of nervous to do it.  Yellow is just hard to paint because you never know what you might get.  To yellow meaning bright or too dole.  Last night I would tell you I did not like the color.  But this morning I like it and maybe can deal with it.  Makes this room a little brighter which was kind of on the dark side and is easy on the eyes.  Seeing we have to look at the wall if we are going to watch tv.  This wall will be getting a make over.  Allan is going to build shelves with pipes that we found on pinterest. They look cool so it will look good.  We will get a bigger tv I think we are waiting for black friday sell to invest.
On the mantel I want to buy a mirror and than I will decorate it seasonal - well that is the plan but who knows.  You get a sense of the color difference on this wall. Next plans - a green kitchen.  Nervous on this one because I am not sure Allan will like it.  He really doesn't love green seeing that he is always around green.

First day of School

Alex's first day of Preschool.  Bitter sweet.  Allan and I talked it over and decided to wait to send Alex to kindergarten due to where his birthday is.  I know that it is probably the best decision but still question if it is right.  So since we decided to wait a year before kindergarten we thought it be a good idea to send him to a preschool.  There is many options of here.  I know I could do it myself but I think that he needed to do school without mom.  So here is the handsome excited boy.
I think the tree is going to have to be the picture spot for school.
Not sure how to feel about sending Alex off to school but I guess they have to grow-up sometime and be away from mom.  Just not sure I like it.
Trinity needed her picture taken.  I think she is feeling a little left out.  Continuely asking when she gets to go to school.  I mean like every day we drop Alex off and pick him up at least three times.  So I will be doing preschool out of my house again for Trinity.

Pretty girls

One of the last boxes to unpack we found my wedding dress.  So why not pull it out.  Have a look at what I used to be able to fit into and let the girls try it on.  Kind of fun.  Trinity didn't love it so much because too hard to stand in.
Aubrie on the other hand loved it.  So soft and fun to play in.
