Memorial Weekend

We decided to go up North Fork for a little hike because I was tired of fishing. Silly boys! They were tired of pictures.
So Pretty. The only family picture we could get. Donovan and Alex really just wanted to throw rocks and try to get Daddy all wet.

Trinity was very happy to be packed around and able to see everything.

Alex caught a fish on Starvation. Donovan had to hold it for him because he wasn't a fan of carrying it. They are slimmy.

Donovan caught a fish on the river by our house. Of course he had to bring it in the house and show we. Rubbing smell fishy hands all over me. Yep we cooked them but both boys wouldn't eat it. It was a good but lazy weekend. We were going to go camping but it just was windy and cold.

Our Family

After about 8 months I finally get our pictures done. Thanks to Codie. We have tried before but not everyone is happy at the same time. If you have small children you know what I mean.
They love me!

oh how cute!

Thanksgiving

Allan's sisters and mom came out for Thanksgiving. It was great. We haven't seen everyone since last Thanksgiving. This was Allan's sisters first time to see our new house and Trinity. We had a full house and loved every minute of it. And just so everyone knows we have room for all the people to have their own room but one. But once the bonus room is finished their will be enough room for more. It was my first time cooking dinner. A little stressful but it turned out well. I know how to time things a little better now. Ate a little earlier than I expected but it was well worth it. I made pie crust for the first time and everyone loved it. I ended up making four pumpkin pies and they were all gone. Allan's family loves pumpkin pie. Me not so much so I made a peacon pie which was great. Allan made the insides I made the crust. It was great team work.
Derick brother in law enterained Trinity with his playing skills. He took all the pictures. Love them!
Trinity was well loved by her aunts. She is still kinda a mommies girl. But thanks to two great sisters I was able to have a break.
Ike made great yams with marshmellows. Got to love marshmellows with anything.

Grandma and most of the grandkids. Missing Donovan and Trinity. Trinity was sleeping finally. This is on Tabby Mountain. Great view.

My favorite picture of Trinity. Yep putting this one on my wall.

Pumpkin Carving

Grandma Sue and Grandpa Kit bringing the giantic pumpkins. Alex carrying the treats because the pumpkins are too big.

Alex decorating them.
Alex did a great job of showing us how to carve the pumpkins and for the most part me stayed true to what he wanted. One pumpkin was all circle and the other was squared with Allan's added touches.

Alex is shooting all the bad guys.

San Diego Trip

First stop fish seeing spot. This octopus was very active. Allan took an amazing picture.

Getting eaten by a shark!

Second stop the beach!!! Wow was the water cold. Alex didn't want anything to do with it and Donovan loved it.

Alex liked digging though.

Donovan being tackled by the waves.

San Diego Zoo. What a big zoo and we walked it all.

Two monkeys!

This Panda was pretty funny. After eating it turns around on the rock and poops. The takes a long nap.

Donovan biff it trying to get off.

Grandpa Tom's Visit

Allan's dad came out for a visit, hoping for a baby but instead had many adventures traveling and seeing the country. The weather wasn't all the terrific; rain on and off but we were still able to see many things. Here is Alex and Grandpa but the river in North Fork. Yep, don't know that name. I wasn't a very good tour guide because I don't pay attention to river names. It's a river.

Here we are at the river. We got a ton of pictures and Alex was actually wanting to look at the camera. Lots of hiking and exploring.
Than we went over blind stream. First making sure it wasn't going to be too bumpy. We played in the snow. It was snowing on us once we got to the top. Allan told me that going over blind stream takes us into Rock Creek. Probably bothering Allan and Tom I kept asking if they thought Stillwater dam would be spilling over.

Lucky for me this is what we saw coming over the hills. I was so happy. I think it is a pretty cool thing to watch a dam spill over when they said it never would.

Then we went to Yellowpine campground and played on the bridges. Alex loves throwing anything off the bridge. He is starting to sound like Donovan too. After every throw he would ask "see that" Donovan always says that.

Grandpa brought kites and we were able to fly kites. There is an airplane, dinosaur, and fish. The first two are a little hard to fly for Alex so we brought out the fish one. All kinds of fun. We had a good visit with Grandpa now maybe he will visit more because we showed him many fishing holes.

North Fork

This is a little out of order. I don't know what happend. This is Alex showing me his Elk poop.
Grandpa Kit and Donovan looking for gold.

Pictures with Grandma. Donovan's is really cute but no so much with Alex. We tried more wtih Alex but he was going to do that.

Here is a picture the best you are going to get. Don't as how far along because I couldn't tell you. I am due in July.
My mom and Kit came out for the weekend. A long drive for a short trip but I was sure glad to see them after the day I had. We went to Duchesne real fast to unlock my car and then headed up North Fork. We made it to the end. I couldn't believe how warm it was and how bright green the trees were. It was beautiful. We got some wonderful pictures. I think I need to invest in some kind of photo program so that I can do touch up or turn them black and white. Mom got the boys pictures frames that talked and wanted to put pictures of her and them in them so we tried to get some good pictures. I think we have a few million.
Alex was only interested in throwing rocks in the water. He was not going to take any pictures no matter what we tried. But we got a few. It is amazing how different they boys are. One like pictures the other one hates them.

I told Donovan I was going to blow this one up and he became kind of worried. I thought it was funny.

If only Alex was looking but at least he was in the picture.
As we walked further up we found animal droppings and Kit was teaching the kids about what animals did what. Alex took it to heart and picked up lots of Elk poop. I thought it was funny that he wanted to carry it around and play with like it was a rock. It was pretty funny.

Fishing

Last weekend, well two weekends ago we took a break from working on our house and spent some time fishing. It was a lot of fun. We came up empty handed but it was fun. The first night we went was perfect, no wind, warm, and sunny. We didn't spend a lot of time fishing, well Allan did but Donovan found rock climbing was fun. Alex was quite the fisherman but if brother isn't fishing he isn't either. I forgot my camera the first night so no pictures. It would have been the best night for pictures but oh well.

Allan bound and determined to catch a fish. Alex in the back through rocks. That was helping.
Walking to the truck

Alex fishing. We did buy him his own pole but he broke it and Allan still needs to fix it.
