See You Soon

Last weekend we were very busy playing in the outdoors. Thankfully it was great weather. Donovan was going back to his Dad's on Saturday so we took the time to go fishing. We have had no luck with fishing lately. Partly because Allan is a river fisherman and we have two boys who after 2 minutes of no activity would rather throw rocks in the water. We headed to Strawberry thinking we would catch something. You always see a ton of people around so you woth tink that we could catch something. Nope! Nothing! Not even a bite. But it was pretty. We drove around while the boys took a nap. I never realized how big that lake was. It was a nice trip.

Than as we were getting home Allan so Jerry working in his field. I said why don't we stop and see if the boys can help (play on the tractor). Alex loves tractors. Everything is a tractor: Dump trucks, garabage trucks, backhoes, everything. Donovan got to play on Jerry's tractor. Alex just watched. Donovan even dug his own hole. It was funny because we were trying to leave, Donovan hops off the tractor, we think to get in the truck, to go on the other side to drive it forward to dig some more. He didn't want to leave too bad. Thanks Jerry.

It's always hard to see Donovan leave and it is hard on him too. Hopefully we won't have to do this much longer. One because I can't take it, two because he is tired of always going back and forth. It is hard to think of all the things he is going to miss and what we miss of Donovan while he is gone. I think that hardest adjustment is for Alex. He didn't like the idea of getting in the car and leaving without Donovan. He walks around the house looking in rooms saying "No" because there is no brother. I can't image what goes on in their heads. We love you Donovan and can't wait for you to get home. See you in July!

We have a book called "Dig, Dig, Digging" that shows a range of "working" vehicles from tractors to helicopters (you may even have it since you have boys!). Every time Jackson or Lily sees ANY of these things they yell, DIG DIG DIGGING! So I understand the tractor thing. Kids love 'em! Fun to see you Hannah-bo-bannah! Love hearing stories of fun from the family. You're too cute!
