Easter 2011

> We started Easter weekend at the Tabby Easter egg hunt. A first for us. Freezing cold, tons of candy and eggs, and lot of fun. Alex was picking up candy everywhere. He just got a late start not knowing about all of this. Got to love his Easter bag.

Trinity on the other hand had not problem figuring out what she needed to do. Picking up candy, one piece at a time but she managed.

Then my dad made it out to see us that evening. We were planning on getting together for Christmas but the weather was terrible so we made it happen for Easter. The kids loved it. Trinity got a baby, Alex got a remote control car, Donovan the same but he doesn't know it, and they all got nerf guns. Watch out Trinity is deadly. We can have all out war at our house now.

Then we had to dy eggs. It was a lot better for Trinity this year and she was well supervised after the first egg just got dumped in the jar.

Alex was having fun. I don't know why we didn't change out of our nice clothes oh well they did good.

Coming home from Church we got to have our Easter egg hung. Alex was so excited about getting a mitt and ball he forgot to get candy. Trinity she loved getting the candy. The pile of Jelly beans has to be picked up one bean at a time. It took forever.

Learning out to bat with dad.

Alex hitting the ball. He was getting the hang of it. I got to cold and had to come inside but he was doing good.

Pre-Easter

We had a friend pass away before Easter so mom and Kit came out to go to the funeral and the kids got to have Easter. Trinity showing off her findings.
Alex couldn't be more excited about the mini lego tractor set he got. Way excited. I don't love all the pieces around but he loves it.

Grandma and Grandpa worn out the poor kids. It worked out having mom and Kit here because I had to get the lump removed on my neck- nothing serious - so they took the kids while I had that done. They were very tired when they got home.

Hat to get cute pictures. Alex wasn't corporating so just the girls.

Some cute pictures I thought I would add.

Aubrie getting stronger every day. She is already three months old.

Great Grandpa Shumway

Happy Birthday Grandpa Shumway. Grandpa (allan's) was in Pocatello for 3 weeks. We went out to see him and celebrated his 83 birthday. We got lots of great pictures, marshmellow wars, and lots of great food.
Picture with his grandkids and Aubrie.

All of Allan's, Emma's, and Amanda's kids. That was a feet. I don't think I have one picture of everyone looking and hands down.

Had to drive the snowmachines.

Trinity was frozen but she loved jumping. All the girls spoiled her. She loved it.

Love this picture.

Alex being very brave with a gecko on him. I didn't think he would let it do that but he was brave or maybe the gecko was brave.

Fun with Grandpa Tom

Aubrie relaxed. No waking this girl up.
We played a lot of dress up while Grandpa was here.

Hanging out in the house.

Even Grandpa was able to fit in the house.

Some snooze time with Aubrie.

Alex drew this picture a couple of days ago. It is grandpa top driving the harvester. He made sure to point out the hands. The kids sure enjoyed the visit. Thanks for coming.

Who is who? After everyone told me how Aubrie looks like all my other kids I wanted to check it out. So can you tell who is who?
I hope the guesses are in

Projects

As I was looking for the projects I wanted to post I found this picture. The first week we brought Aubrie home I never went upstairs. So Allan told Alex to clean the playroom. Well instead of using the tubs that are against the wall to put all the toys in. Alex dumped them all out and put everything in the middle of the playroom. Kinda creative if you ask me but not my idea of cleaning the playroom.
So before I had Aubrie I was wanting to make so quilts. I really didn't have a project so I thought I would make the boys blankets for their beds since they don't have anything. I used the log cabin pattern and came up with this. It was way easy and you don't need a pattern. Just buy some fabric and make it. I also found this really cool web site that teaches you and gives ideas of patterns to do the quilts. All is left is to do the borders, quilt it, bind it. So maybe in two years they will have new blankets for their beds. In the mean time I have to get an idea for Aubrie's blanket.

First week Home

For Aubrie's first week home Kit and Mom were able to come out. It was rather nice. Sleeping in until 9, not having to cook, and not worrying about Alex and Trinity being bored because we had such wonderful help. Thanks Mom and Kit for coming down.
Trinity was Optimus Prime. Since this time Alex has not taken off his Optimus costume.

Hanging out with Grandpa!

Hanging out with Grandma.
Hanging out with dad. Some much needed time. It is amazing how bringing home a new baby changes everything and takes awhile for everything to get back to normal. I think Tracy put it the best. The smallest things like doing the dishes or cooking dinner all seems like a big deal after you had your baby.
